Class 5A
Elmore County punches their ticket to the State Duals Tournament
Class 7A
Two big wins - Wednesday evening over Thompson and Thursday over Hewitt Trussville puts Vestavia Hills in the 7A State Duals Tournament. Bracket to be posted soon - but Vestavia will take on Bob Jones in the opening round.
Thompson will travel to Huntsville to take on the defending Champs.
Enterprise downed Smiths Station 43-32 to claim the Region 2 Title. Enterprise trailed 32-29 heading into the 132 lb. match between Kameron Stiffler and Timothy Luttrell. Stiffler, Tytorrion Gilbert, and Grier Hunt each got wins in the final 3 matches of the night to claim the title.
Class 6A
Mountain Brook and Homewood completed the Class 6A State Duals Bracket on Thursday evening. Mountain Brook downed Helena, Spain Park, Chelsea, and Pelham to advance. The 2x defending Champs looked every bit the part and should be the favorites as they begin their run to another title.
